Chula Artisan Eatery

Pete and I stumbled upon Chula Artisan Eatery today, and we couldn’t be happier that we did! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by its inviting atmosphere, warm hospitality, and farm-to-table approach. This isn’t your typical Mexican restaurant—it’s a fresh, elevated take on traditional flavors, crafted by the incredibly talented Chef Katherine Gonzalez.
Atmosphere & Ambience
The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a charming mix of industrial meets farmhouse décor that makes the space feel both modern and cozy. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for soaking up some sunshine while enjoying a freshly prepared meal. And let’s not forget the in-house bakery, where you can grab delightful cakes, cookies, and pastries to take home (if you can resist digging in right away!).
Food That’s Worth the Hype
Chula Artisan Eatery has been featured on the Food Network, and after one bite, it’s easy to see why. Their menu is seasonal and locally sourced, with food boards proudly displaying fresh ingredients. The commitment to quality is evident in every dish.
I ordered the Brioche French Toast, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Topped with ripe, juicy strawberries and blueberries, it was bursting with flavor. But the real surprise? The frozen whipped cream infused with cinnamon and maple syrup—a genius touch that elevated the dish to an entirely new level. I am a self-proclaimed French toast connoisseur, and rated their Strawberry French Toast a 10!
Pete went for the Shrimp & Bacon Stuffed Chile Relleno, which was an absolute showstopper. The combination of flavors was bold yet perfectly balanced, and the dish itself was cooked to perfection. For those with a hearty appetite, the Green Chile Monte Cristo is a must-try. Featured as Guy Fieri’s favorite, this deep-fried masterpiece is big, indulgent, and topped with a perfectly cooked egg. One bite, and you’ll understand why it’s earned a spot in Flavortown!
Service & Overall Experience
Beyond the incredible food, the service at Chula’s is fantastic. The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable, and passionate about their menu, making sure you have the best experience possible. It’s clear that this award-winning restaurant takes pride in every detail—from the locally sourced ingredients to the beautifully presented dishes.
